Are you interested in creating your own website? Think it will take more than $500 to get started? Here is what I used to get started on my budget websites.
First, decide on how much you are you willing to spend?

I have a website that cost me $199 dollars to start with a yearly fee of $199 dollars. They had a special going on at the time so I purchased a second website for $100. Both included web hosting and web domain name. The only problem is now they both cost me $199 a year for each website. The company recently added the possibility to pay monthly for $29. That I can handle better.
It took me a long time to decide on a niche for my first site. It was like purchasing a College course. Lots of words, videos and instructions on how to build your site successfully. I spent months reading, viewing and doing as they had recommended. Their 10 day process took me 5 months. Well of course, I couldn’t work on my website until after 8pm till early morning on weekdays and Saturdays from 1pm to about 5pm. My eyes and hands hurt trying to figure out what they were talking about. You’d think it was full of wonderful information, it was, just overwhelmingly so. Too wordy.
But, in the end, everything worked out okay. My first website I created utilizing this hosting tools generates 25 organic visitors a day and no income after being active online for 14 months. Boo! Hoo! I’m definitely doing something wrong with this one. I am revamping the niche and the site to change the status of my visitors and the problems that I see of this site. Okay, so that didn’t go so well, but I did gain some wonderful knowledge and experience about organic visitors and SEO.
Then, I had a brilliant idea for a niche and whipped up my second website in less time which is now out performing my original site. I currently have 75 visitors a day and yes, making a few dollars, I made $200 on my site selling products and affiliate links. The site has been actively running for 8 months now. My first month with this niche I got 200 organic visits. Stats ending of last month was 1725 organic visits. Isn’t that wonderful. I hope this site is my ticket out of the rat race. I’ve been working hard on my sites. The biggest problem for me is staying focused. I have all these ideas and I have little sites and blogs popping out of my brains like crazy.
For both of my sites, I do not use any paid advertising. Everything is organic, SEO visits.
My opinion: Although it’s a little more than what I had hoped to spend on a website the knowledge I have gained about SEO techniques and organic traffic is priceless. Knowledge is definitely power. If you really want to learn SEO and not have to pay more than $500 bucks at a community college or online college then this is definitely worth the money. Besides, you not only get wonderful information (despite the endless words), you get a domain name and hosting.
